Get Hair prepared for spring and summer.  Depending where you live the sun can be quite strong and summer swimming whether it be the pool, lakes or ocean can dry out your hair and fade out your color or even turn your hi lites a complimenting shade of green :)  To be better prepared you may want to start looking for product sales for your clarifying shampoos for chlorine and product build up and good conditioners to help put nutrients back in your hair!

updo with some friends part 2

I talked about going with friends or a friend and get a fun updo and go for lunch and shopping. If you are on a budget I mentioned to go clearance shopping.  Well you know you could call different salons and see who would help you have your day on your budget and do your hair for cheaper, an updo once for you and your friends at an affordable price :)  Personally, I would love the idea of a few friends to come in together and do a casual up do.  The positives are you may find a new salon and they may find a new client, you look great and the the salon just made some money with hopes you will tell your friends!

Fun day with an up do and good friends

Put on your calendar one day to get together with your girlfriends or just one good friend and go to your hair salon and get a fun up do to go with what you are wearing, go out for lunch and go shopping!  When you leave the salon you will feel so great and possitve.  If you are on a tight budget, only shop for clearance, make the shopping more interesting and fun!  My bet you all will have a great day and it all starts with a good cup of java and your hair done!

Referrals are the best way to find a hair stylist, but during this low time with the economy many salons are looking for new clients.  If you see or have heard of a salon you might want to try but just a little leary ask if they are offering New Client Specials, you may be able to get your hair done and your nails or any other beauty service done at a good price just try out their salon!  You may love it and have found your new hair salon!

Do you and your stylist communicate part 2

Letting your stylist know you a little bit helps in thinking of a style for you.  Some styles are funky, concervative, sassy, classic.  Some will work for your hair or require some primping to achieve the look you want.  You may not want to take the time, you may like to primp.  If we as stylist understand your time schedules and what you normally do in a day we will know better how the style you like will work for you.

Support your hairdresser

There are times with the economy and holidays that business gets slow.  One thing to remember, if you have a stylist you like be sure to go in often enough to support her/him and salon you go to so they can stay in business.  I know its tempting to save money when you can but be sure its worth it to go to the cheaper place or having a friend family member to do it.  Just a thought when you working your budget.
