halloween hair top for blondes

Just a quick note for blondes and bleached blondes,  be very careful putting hair color in your hair that washes out for halloween, it could stain your hair and not come out with the first shampoo.  I would use funky extensions, updos with halloween props or wigs instead :)

Halloween hair

Another idea that is fun for Halloween is to put your hair in an updo to suit the costume you are dressing up.  If you havent had an updo or you want to have some fun, dont get a wig, go to the salon and have your hair done!  Bring props like bugs or webs you may want to use.  Trick or Treat!

Halloween ideas for hair color

How fun to change your hair for halloween.  You can get hair extensions a I posted in my last blog, you can also use spray color on your hair that washes out.  You can cut holes in a cardstock piece of paper and use that as a stensil to make pokadots on your hair with diff. colors.  Too fun right?  Next blog with another halloween hair thought

Hair Extensions

Halloween is next week, having long hair to help create an image can be fun and you can keep for a long time.  Micro Bead hair extensions will last in your hair for up to 6 months and will not damage your hair.  So think about some change for fall!  Happy Halloween!

How to help feeling blue....

So often our moods determine how are day will go and end.  If you have the blues that doesn't mean your day is shot.  Sometimes you need some attention and or time to relax and go with it but in a positive way.  A pedicure can be very relaxing and therapeutic and so can getting your hair done and covering your roots or gray hair be therapeutic and uplifting to the moral :)

how to find a hair salon and stylist

This week is Biketoberfest here in Florida and that always affects my business.  As a result are only busy half of the day.  But...........I think if we hang balloons all around and put out a sign todays special hair cuts $12 we may get some walk ins.  Would you walk in if you saw that sign with balloons around the parking area?  Would that look like perhaps a salon you may start going to and considering the efforts, the stylist you are looking for just may be in there!  Let me know your thoughts :)

How to find a hair salon and stylist...

I have covered finding a salon as far as checking services, prices and to look at some of their work in the gallery if they have a website, if not, be sure to call and ask if those things are important to you.  Going in the salon to see and feel the atmosphere to be sure you feel comfortable.  Asking someone you see with a nice cut you like or color who did their hair and where.  Deciding whether you want that extra attention from shampoo to style or do you want to get in and get out as quick as you can.  Be sure to allow that extra time if need be in case your stylist is behind schedule.  If you are not getting a reshape keeping in mind not to let it grow out more than 8 weeks so the stylist can see what you had.  If you do want to change your look pictures are always very helpful!  Good luck in your search.........www.tropicalwaveshairsalon.com

how to find a hair salon and stylist..

When going to a stylist for the first time or not, bring a picture with you, find one there or don't let your hair grow out too long (after 8 weeks) if you want a reshape and not a style change.  Talk to your stylist just as you expect to talk to your doctor without getting rushed so you feel comfortable knowing you have communicated.  The rest will be talent and knowledge on the stylist part.....

How to find a hair salon and a stylist....

If you are looking for a hairdresser the best way to find one is if you see someone with a style you like stop them and ask where they get their done.  Be sure to ask the name of the stylist as well as the salon.  Look for some style books and bring pictures with you.

How to find a hair salon and stylist continued....

Ok, I mentioned calling salons, asking for websites to look at, asking questions on phone for appointments and time.  You can also go into the salons you are thinking about and see how you like the atmosphere and the people working there. Some are very welcoming and friendly and you may like that.  You can also see how clean the shop is if thats a consideration.  If you walk in to salons normally and its the first time you have been there or not, always know for any reason if you decide you do not want to stay you can always leave with out worrying about what they may think.  You are a paying customer and you must know you are paying for a service and part of that is customer service.  To be continued...

How much attention in the hair salon do you like?

How much attention in the hair salon do you like?  Some clients come in the shop and will say I am away from the kids I have a few hours, some will say I have to leave within an hour to make another appointment.  If you require more attention because you enjoy it, it relaxes you or you like your stylist to take their time you need to be sure you mark your calendar for enough time when you go to the salon.  You can always ask the receptionist how much time approximately will be needed and always allow time of 45 min extra if the stylist is behind his or her schedule.  Some stylist's do not blow dry hair and to me its unfinished but some cut only and move on to the next client.  So its important when you make your appointment you are very clear what you want so you are put with the right stylist to do the job you want and the time you want to spend.  More to come..........
