Thinning bulky hair

Thinning bulky hair can certainly help and look better if you have extremely thick especially curly and thick hair.  Generally a razor or thinning shear is used.  Keep in mind when doing this style of cutting you are removing bulk but at the same time creating short pieces of hair that will grow a little longer and create more bulk.  So if you intend on using this technique you will have to keep up with it. Its a solution for very thick hair.

What to know when you have to cancel your appointment

When you need to cancel your hair appointment keep in mind a certain amount of time has been allowed for you and your service you are having done;  so be sure to try and cancel at least 24 hours in advance.  Most stylist are paid commission and if you do not show up without canceling they have lost money and did not have the chance to fill in the space they marked off for you and if you cancel at the last money the same result is the same.  Try and be courteous to your stylist if you do need to cancel.

Roller part 2 is still talking about rollers with curly hair.  Big rollers to keep the hair straight is great, if you feel you are too puffy when you take the rollers out you can run your flat iron through it and from that you can judge just how much you need to to do that until it is how you like it.  You can also pull your hair back in scrunchies to flatten it our even wrap a scarf around your head like its cold outside for a few minutes to help flatten it.  If its humid outside don't forget to use your A/C!

If your hair is really dry.

If your hair is really dry, like straw dry, you need to be sure to condition your hair and it would help internally to eat healthy fats and take" hair skin and nail" vitamins.  You can use argan oil when your hair is wet and dry.  You can use any oils that is moisturizing there are several on the market.  If money is a problem you can purchase VO5 in a tube, that will help as well and is cheap.  When you hair is softer it is much easier to manage.

Cover your hair in the sun

Cover your hair in the sun especially if you have colored treated hair.  The sun is pretty strong and will fade your color.  Some color when it starts to fade will turn on the red side.  If that happens you may have to go in the salon for a quick color wash which will help tone it down until your next appointment.  If you have natural hair the sun can bring natural high lights to your hair which you may like, if so keep your hair uncovered!  If you have thinning hair or balding it is definitely wise to cover your head to avoid too much sun exposure and sunburn.

Conditioning your hair at home can be a quick conditioning in the shower after shampooing and also it is recommended monthly to deep condition your hair.  Depending on the condition of your hair will determine how often you should deep condition.  Deep conditioning means adding protein and moisture (hydrating) to your hair after shampooing and using a cap with heat or going under the dryer for 15 minutes.

Hair Brushes

Hair Brushes come in different sizes, shapes, and different bristles.  You have one that needs to go through your hair right to your scalp so you know all of your hair is getting brushed, generally called a paddle brush.  So often children get horrible mats in their hair because the hair brush does not go through to the scalp.  You also want to make sure if there are ball tips on the bristles that those are not all broken off so there is no hair pulling which can make knots and end up in breakage.

Cutting Long Hair Techniques

Cutting Long Hair Techniques are different for different hair types.  If you have long straight or Curly hair you can blunt cut for a full thick edge, you can slightly layer the bottom to break up the full line and create softness to the edge.  You can point cut (texturize) the bottom for a light uneven edge.  If you have curly hair the point cutting helps encourage the curl and it lays better with a nice flow to the curl.

Hair Extensions

Hair Extensions can be quite costly so do your research.  I do the Micro Bead in my salon, I find that when I am taking them out only the extension comes out with no damage to the hair.  However, there are different types of pre-bonded extensions that do make a difference   Some tips of the hair wefts are very gluey and sticky, some are a little thick for the beads you use and becomes difficult to get in the bead and the plastic silicone coating in the center of the bead gets pushed out.  Before purchasing your hair research it out, all different salons and check prices.  Find out what type of hair they use and look it up online.  The beauty schools generally will use good hair but can charge more than some salons.  When you do get them done it looks great!

Loose Waves and Body bring life and bounce to your hair and your personality!  Looking for a change in your appearance a little spring in your attitude, get a texture perm.  A texture perm will give, just body, or some wave, a beachy wave look.  Hair from the bottom of your neck to half way down your back it works great.  I just did a texture perm by Scruples in my salon on somseone with fine thin hair and because the perm is so gentle, it works great for her and looks great!
