Flaky Scalp

Flaky Scalp can be caused from dandruff, dry scalp, and or hair styling product residue.  Generally dandruff is present on an oily scalp.  Dry scalp can be treated with coconut oils or other scalp moisturizing oils that can help the flaking.  If you use water soluble hair products that will avoid any residue flaking.

Wanting to go lighter if you are too dark is possible but highly recommended you do it professionally.  Dark hair carry's a lot of red pigment, if you don't know what you are doing it could be very costly trying to fix what you did plus putting you hair in jeopardy of getting in very bad condition.

Talk to the owner with your concerns and who you want to go to or who would be best for you and go with it and no hard feelings. Clip in hair extensions can last a day or two but definitely for an evening if put in properly.  You may invest 100 or so for good human hair but well invested to wear them when you want and than you can take them out.

Clarify shampoo will help remove product build up on your hair and also helps if you have oily hair.  Its always good to use clarify shampoo unless your hair is very damaged and you are doing a clarify treatment followed by a deep conditioning treatment.
