Looking for your stylist?  Sometimes when your stylist disappears and they are no longer at the salon and the salon does not give you any information how or where to find them is no fault of the hair stylist. There are salons that will not allow them to keep record of their clients.  So if you find a stylist you really like be sure to give them on your phone number or get theirs in case they should have to leave the salon they are working.

Check the length before you buy your hair extensions or pony tail extensions etc.  You can measure from the back middle of you head on down so you know how long you want your extensions/pieces to go.  They have different lengths to order depending on what you are ordering.

Cover your hair in the sun

Cover your hair in the sun especially if you have colored treated hair.  The sun is pretty strong and will fade your color.  Some color when it starts to fade will turn on the red side.  If that happens you may have to go in the salon for a quick color wash which will help tone it down until your next appointment.  If you have natural hair the sun can bring natural high lights to your hair which you may like, if so keep your hair uncovered!  If you have thinning hair or balding it is definitely wise to cover your head to avoid too much sun exposure and sunburn.

Pricing hair extensions is important.  Some hair salons charge for ordering the hair for you and may charge extra for the hair.  When you are pricing be sure to find out what the price quoted includes.  Most of the time you need to cut before and after applying the extensions, be sure to ask if there is an extra charge for that.
